Second Annual Golf Outing

FORMAT OF PLAY

This golf outing is a scramble format, so you do not have to be a great golfer to participate. Bring a foursome or enter less than a foursome, and we will make the teams the day of the outing. If you are not a golfer, but want to enjoy a summer day in Angola, come join us for dinner at 4:30 p.m.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

Registration Witmer Clubhouse at Zollner Golf Course	10:30 a.m.
Lunch	11:15 a.m.
Start	Noon
Dinner and Awards Witmer Clubhouse at Zollner Golf Course	4:30 p.m.

ENTRY FEE*

The $125 fee includes lunch at the clubhouse, green fees, cart and range balls. Dinner is available for an additional $15 per person. Guests are welcome.

ABOUT YOUR SUPPORT

Your participation in the Civil Engineering Alumni Golf Outing will give additional support for laboratory improvements, computer upgrades, student projects, field trips and faculty development.

By supplementing university funding with departmental resources, we can continue to improve our education of tomorrow’s civil engineers.

Trine University will consider your entry fee, minus meal cost and golfing fee, as a charitable gift to the college. This gift is eligible for a federal tax deduction and Indiana tax credit.

If your company matches employee gifts to colleges, you may be able to double your donation to Trine University. Ask your personnel director for more information.

APAI'S ROLE

The Asphalt Pavement Association of Indiana (APAI) is pleased to hold its second annual Trine Civil Engineering Scholarship Fundraiser in conjunction with the Trine University Civil Engineering Golf outing on July 12, 2013.

The goal of this event is to support the university’s expanded involvement in the asphalt industry and to fund scholarships for undergraduate civil engineering students.

Last year, four Trine undergraduate students were presented with scholarship awards totaling $7,000. This was made possible though last year’s outing. APAI is a statewide trade association formed in 1959 and represents nearly 75 companies involved in the asphalt pavement industry in Indiana. Members are asphalt producers and laydown contractors, asphalt binder suppliers, and various equipment dealers, consulting firms and business service providers.

APAI proceeds from the APAI/Trine golf fundraiser will be presented to Trine students at the APAI Winter Conference. More information is available at http://www.asphaltindiana.org

Hole and event sponsorships - $250 each.   APAI and Trine University are selling hole and other event sponsorships to raise additional scholarship funds for Trine’s Civil Engineering Department during its annual Golf Outing to be held July 12 at Zollner Golf Course on Trine’s beautiful campus. APAI associate and contractor members and binder suppliers are encouraged to support this scholarship opportunity. If you cannot attend, we hope your company will support the civil engineering program with a hole sponsorship. Or, better yet, consider doing both.
