APAI Member Benefits

Advocacy: Through numerous task forces and committees, APAI staff and members work closely with Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) to make sure the industry's interests are represented in specifications and regulations.

Current Information: Through our Web site, e-mail update bulletins and periodic mailings, APAI members are provided with timely information on everything from specification changes to upcoming training opportunities. Local governments can receive specifications on request.

Training Seminars and Workshops: APAI-sponsored workshops provide members with a convenient way to keep up with new specifications and regulations affecting their business. The Sustainable Pavements Conference in February is geared to public employees of the state’s various political subdivisions. The summer meeting provides excellent educational programming and a chance for networking.

Public Relations: APAI actively works to promote the use of hot- mix asphalt by providing information to state and local agency engineers, consulting engineers and architects. APAI is always ready to assist magazines and newspapers in the preparation of articles about HMA pavements and our industry.

Industry Leadership: APAI is the voice of Indiana’s asphalt paving industry. APAI maintains a collaborative relationship with the National Asphalt Pavement Association, the Asphalt Institute, and the State Asphalt Pavement Associations, which enhances our ability to be an effective voice for APAI members.
